DAY TO DAY PROGRAM
Day 1, Thursday: Departure from Copenhagen.
We have several departures a day. Upon arrival to Vagar airport you pick-up your rental car. We recommend a visit to the small village of Gásadalur, the last village on the Island that got a real road connection. Enjoy the silence and the view over Tindhólm.

Day 2, Friday: The bird island Mykines.
Full day trip to the island Mykines. The trip starts with an unforgettable boat trip among the majestic hill sides. Have a look out for the charming little bird – the Puffin, that with its warm colors brigthen up the North Atlantic. To reach the nesting point of the puffin you cross over land and brigdes. Packed lunch will be served along the way. Back in the little village you can enjoy a cup of coffee at the local cafe, before the boat returns to Vagar Island.

Day 3, Saturday: Guided hiking to Svínoy
After breakfast you join the local ferry from Viðoy to Svínoy. In the village Svínoy you will meet your local guide for todays hiking tour. An easy but beautiful hike from the village and to the inlet of Dragin, where the english had an outpost during the 2. ww. Dragin is also know for being a good area for birdhunting and several birds are living in the area.
Breakfast and accommodation in Kláksvik.
Day 4, Sunday: Hiking to Kalsoy light house.
Take the local ferry from Klaksvik to Kalsoy. Here you will meet your local guide, who will take you on a 1 hour hike to the light house of kalsoy. From the light house you will have the most amazing view of the open sea. Returning back, you will spend the night on Eysturoy.

Breakfast and accommodation at Eysturoy.
Day 5, Monday: Guided hike to Slættaratindur.
Today you will reach the top of the highest mountain on the Islands. The tour starts at Eiðisskarð, the mountain pass south of Slættaratindur. Slættaratindur (882 m) is a must if you are a happy hiker. It is the highest mountain and the level for reaching the top is moderate. At the top you will have the most amazing sight of the Islands from above.

Day 6, Tuesday: Hiking from Tjørnuvík to Saksun.
Tjørnuvík is surrounded by steep mountains and with an extrordinary view of the cliffs named the Giant and the witch.
From Tjørnuvíksskarð and down to the village of Saksun you will have a great view of the beautiful lagune and fiord. The hight mountains gives the area an enchanted and unbelievable beauty.

Day 7, Wednesday: Day at Leisure
We recommend some of the following tours.
- Hiking on your own from Tórshavn to Kirkjubøur. Enjoy the view of the Islands Sandoy, Hestur, Koltur and Vágar along the way. In Kirkjubøur you can visit the old house Roykstovan that is around 900 years old. You can also se the ruins of the St. Magnus cathedral and the Ólav´s church from year 1111.
- Visit the charming little village of Gjógv. Drive north and visit the little village of Gjógv, known for the small channel and harbour at the end of the cliff. Do a hike on the sourrunding mointains and observe birds mountains from a distance.

Breakfast and accommodation in Tórshavn.
Day 8, Thursday: Departure
Return to Vagar Island for your departure back to Copenhagen. Drop off your rental car and waive goodbye as you return back home.
